Bridges promotes knowledge and learning in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin for a fairer world.
Our vision is a fairer world where all people are respected, learn together and are able to take action.
We work with schools, colleges, youth and community groups to enable people to learn about global issues and explore the actions groups and individuals can take to make our world fairer.
Bridges is run by a small and committed staff team with backgrounds in international development and education.
Our staff team is supported and guided by our Board of Trustees and our volunteers:
We have no current vacancies on our staff team. However, we are always looking for potential trustees and volunteers to support our work.
Bridges was founded in September 2003 by Shropshire based international development charity Harvest Help (now Self Help Africa) in response to a need and demand for education around global issues in Shropshire.
We became an independent charity and company limited by guarantee in 2005.
We offer CPD training, workshops and support for your primary or secondary school.
We work creatively and collaboratively with local community and youth groups to support them in exploring global issues.
We’re offering colleges and sixth-forms the opportunity to take part in activities, events and collaborative work to inspire global thinking and action for a fairer world.
We can provide a variety of consultancy services to charities, social enterprises and organisations..
