Supporting Fairtrade in the West Midlands Fairtrade School Status Bridges is working across the 14 local education authorities in the West Midlands to support schools to achieve Fairtrade Schools Status. The requirements of the scheme tie in with and support other initiatives (such as Eco Schools, International Schools and the Education for Sustainable Development Framework) and help schools embed fair trade into their curriculum.

Shropshire Fairtrade Guide In July 2006 the first Fairtrade Guide to Shropshire was launched in Wistanstow Stores. The Guide was produced by Bridges on behalf of Shropshire Fairtrade Coalition and funded by the Co-op Community Dividend Fund. Actor Pete Postlethwaite, a keen supporter of Fairtrade, attended the launch. 10,000 copies of the Guide have been distributed around the county. The Guide details local retailers, food outlets and accommodation supplying fair-trade products.
